Employee Development HR Web Tools
SDMS V Staff Development for Windows with SDMS V e-Training Version 5 provides extensive Training Management functionality combined with fully integrated Web and Intranet Access. This easy to use system significantly extends the capacity of organisations to support their employees and managers with high quality training and development tools and information. Employee Self Serve, Line Manager Course Management, Administration and Trainer Access with On Line Training Needs Analysis, Course Evaluation and On Line Reporting are just some of the web based management tools offered by this innovative software.
While promoting Manager and Employee involvement and ownership of development with optional browser based modules for Training Evaluation, Training Needs and Appraisal Management, supporting employee development is made easier and more cost effective.
e-Evaluation
The extensive On Line Course Management features of SDMS V e-Training are extended with our e-Evaluation module. Training Evaluation Questionnaires set up within the Windows “back office” system are immediately available for completion with the Web Access e-Evaluation Module.
On completing the course, delegates can enter their evaluations with comments. These are then available to Line Managers and Supervisors to help them assess the value and potential use of costly training when back in the workplace. The logistical problems and costs associated with administering evaluation forms are avoided, while enhancing the ability to identify and monitor employee perceptions of training.
e-Appraisal
The day to day tasks of implementing Appraisal are notoriously problematic - have the Appraisal meetings been planned and scheduled and the Appraiser and Appraisee informed; do the meetings happen, are Targets and Outcomes recorded and followed through? With SDMS V e-Appraisal these practical jobs are easily done On Line. It allows Appraisers or Administrators to set up and schedule a range of Appraisal Meetings from initial Focus or Agenda Setting Meetings, Assessments, Task Observations (including Classroom Observation for Education) through formal Appraisal Interviews to follow up monitoring and Review Meetings.
Agreed Appraisal Targets and outcomes can be recorded, assigned a weighting and priority to aid ongoing performance development and assessment. Importantly all Appraisal Targets can be linked into the business plan and may be flagged as a Training and Development Need, allowing the link between Appraisal and business planning to be made explicit. Action plans can be set out for any Appraisal Target with specific actions, review dates and action by information.
e-Training Needs
Either as part of Appraisal, or as a separate process, e-Training Needs provides a browser tool for Employees and Managers to record and keep track of the training needs of their staff. This ensures that training delivered is directed to well established employee and business training needs. e-Training Needs allows training needs to be recorded flexibly and comprehensively and provides you with invaluable data for planning and evaluating the training delivered.
Shared Information Platform and Culture
Training Evaluations, Appraisal and Training Needs Profiles entered via the browser are available seamlessly and dynamically to any authorised Web user as well as any authorised Windows application user. Line Managers can see employee progress in achieving Appraisal Targets and review them On Line, pick up on their new Training Needs and see their opinions on training provided to support them. The product therefore supports a shared information base for managing key aspects of Employee Development and making best use of Skills and Training.
