Who is the Course for:   

This course is designed for customers with new staff in the training administration teams who have not benefited from the initial SDMS training and where the pressures of daily work make it difficult to provide ‘on the job’ training and who wish to develop an overall understanding of the system and the skills necessary to ensure accurate and speedy data entry.  It is specifically designed for administrative and clerical staff.

It will also help to develop an overall understanding of the system and the skills necessary to ensure accurate and speedy use of the software.

Who is the Course for:

This one-hour On Line course is designed for users of SDMS V Staff Development and Learning Management for Windows who wish to make best use of the automatic workflow features of SDMS to produce Word documents using mail merge templates, and emails using the SDMS Email Templates. Designed for day-to-day users of the product who are tasked with sending out the many approval, rejection letters, registers, certificates, memorandums in the effective administration of training and learning management. 

Topics and Skills:

Knowledge of the range of Word templates and different types of templates, Using and amending existing Word templates; creating new templates; Mail Merging to Word, Quick Administrators, Setting for different Word Versions - XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010, Review of all mail merge facilities in SDMS software and use, implementation and benefits of effective Mail Merging, setting up the templates and configuring the SDMS system to utilise this both on demand and automated through the Quick Administrator facility, The course will deal with differences between Version 5 and Version 6. It will describe how the software can be used to track the progress of a candidate from their initial registration to the completion of the award. It is specifically intended for administrative and clerical staff.

The course is designed for users of SDMS V Staff Development and SDMS V HRPersonnel for Windows who have experience of using SDMS Report Writer – Crystal Reports with the SDMS Data model and wish to focus specifically on using some of the more advanced techniques to create more flexible, speedy and well presented reports.

Quick Refresher on basic steps in creating a new report, covering the elements covered in the introduction training session. Using features of SDMS Report Writer: Crystal Reports to allow for more flexible reports, how to optimise reports, troubleshooting techniques, hiding data fields, using complex formulae such as nested statements and mathematical formulae, Changing the report output using parameters and formulae, Creating and using sub reports.

HRPersonnel - Training Management and Employee Development:

Who is the Course for:
